oh.my.lord. we found a little treasure this weekend. saturday nite i went online and just for fun looked at real estate. you know, to basically torture myself with architecture goodness. and then i clicked on 'old town cottage' and my heart soared. and i had a million bazillion thoughts about this little cottage in under ten seconds. so of course, i couldn't stop thinking about this house and made steven call the realtor that had listed the house first thing this morning to see if she could show it to us today. and that she did. and we both fell in love. it is two blocks from main street and about six blocks from a bakery and grocer. the backyard is huge and has a tall fence. the previous owner was a gardner and installed a drip irrigation system and planted organic veggie gardens and flower gardens. there is an attic with windows, a big open kitchen, a finished basement with four rooms and amazing hardwoods throughout. we went to dinner after seeing it and talked a mile a minute about all of the things we could do to it. it's so fun to dream about. i wonder if it will just stay a dream ;)
