Pink

Last nite driving home the sky was pale pink, it looked so lovely above the mountains. I tried to take a picture but the sun set too fast and then I had only a tiny chance at a pic, mountains excluded.

This morning I woke up to another pink sky. I love the tree outside of our bedroom window, the branches are so pretty and the sky always looks beautiful behind the tree.

As a little side note, I have never really used book marks. I am constantly reading books and never keeping my place on a page. I don't mind re-reading a few sentences to find my way back to where I left off. While unpacking our office a few months ago, I came across two stacks of playing cards. When I turned the cards over, I noticed that they had been inscribed.

Joy Cox is my grandma. I just sat there in wonder. I had never really noticed the cards before. Now I have a new bookmark. And I love using this little card that my grandma used to have.

Yesterday I contacted a friend from college that is currently studying at the University of Texas. I have a ton of questions for him so we are going to chat soon. Talking to him yesterday caused a huge flood of college memories. Dance parties, dinner parties, backgammon, listening to records in a friend's basement, sitting on endless porches, walking everywhere, long discussions, java hut, constant stays in the library, walking along the river. I think one of the reasons I want to go back to school is the possibility of having some of these things back.
