Memory #14

One of my favorite parts of our trip last summer was walking through the Santa Monica farmers' market. It was magnificent. I sometimes wish that I had bought one of the cookbooks I saw in a bookstore a couple days later.

This morning we went to the farmers' market down the street for the first time. I met a farmer who lives near us and has a farm a couple miles away. He also has a food blog. He asked how I was going to prepare the tomatoes and carrots that I bought, I loved that question. He also gave us a little sliver of a tomato. Love that guy.

On the way home, we stopped by a yard sale and I bought two vases, 25 cents each. So happy.

Last week I picked two little yellow pear tomatoes from our garden. They were so little and cute and delicious. This morning, one of the early girl tomatoes looked like it was ready.

We sprinkled on a tad of sea salt and it was soooo good.

I can't believe that I actually grew delish things for us.
