I haven't ever really been one to follow the weather on the news but with the changing of the season, I have been paying close attention to the forecast. Over the weekend, the weather man let me know that a cold front would be coming in Monday nite and that Tuesday would be cool, in the 70's. Last nite the winds picked up, the sky became yellow and gray and huge lightning bolts could be seen in the distance. I was in heaven. It wasn't that cold but I put on a cardigan anyway. Before dinner, we ran to the library because I have been obsessing over some books I read the first chapters of on amazon and needed to check them out asap. I picked up:

Just Kids by Patti Smith
Piece by Piece by Tori Amos (the teenage Sara kicked in seeing that one)
Giada at home: Family Recipes from Italy and California (for some reason I have a crazy fascination with her)
Bella Tuscany: The Sweet Life in Italy by Frances Mayes

I went for Just Kids but couldn't help myself for grabbing the others. When I got home I cleaned up my bedside table so I could place my books there (nerdy??) and read for a long time before bed, it was luxurious. I really wanted to pick up The Lady in the Palazzo, but I like the idea of reading that one at the end of the fall, maybe wrapped up in a blanket eating chestnuts (omg).
