New

I recently bought a food processor. I have been dreaming about one for years and finally bought one. As soon as I took it out of the box, I made pesto.

Hello, gorgeous.

I added the pesto to a cream sauce and it was delightful. I had about half a bowl of pesto left over so later in the week I added to another sauce. And! I didn't follow a recipe, I made it up as I went, which I hardly ever do because the perfectionist part of me loves following precise directions.

I browned two pieces of chicken (in olive oil for about 5 minutes per side). Then I added vegetable broth, half of a yellow onion (diced) & white wine and let the chicken simmer for about 10 minutes. I removed the chicken then added the pesto to the broth. Sliced the chicken and tossed with whole wheat angel hair pasta, steamed broccoli, feta & topped with the sauce. Holy sheeeet, it was good. And I felt so happy that I could toss something together like that. I hope I do it more often.
