Looking back at our trip now that we have been home for a bit, I almost feel as if it was all a dream, it was that good. Every day looked like this: we slept in, wandered into the kitchen and made coffee and egg sandwiches, read in the kitchen then moved to the lanai where I would write in my journal and read for 2-3 hours. Then we would get ready and usually venture out to a town one over, Hanalei. Really cute little town full of surfers and hipsters. I loved that every girl had on a strapless sundress, I fit right in. Then we would head to the beach and come home when it started to rain. Dinners were usually out, fish and lots of wine. Bed time was usually early and always refreshing (we had an air conditioner in the room so I would crank it up, letting all of the cool take over since we don't have air conditioning at home).
There is an overwhelming sense of nostalgia in me, for such a relaxing, fine time. I haven't really ever experienced a tropical paradise and this really was one. We didn't take a ton of pictures, but there a few gems. And did I mention that I read two entire books while I was there? Heaaaaaaaaaven.
