This past weekend is what dreams are made of. My best friends flew down and surprised me for my birthday. It was really one of the best weekends of my life, I feel so lucky. We bar hopped (Steven lindy hoppped his way to each bar), had a dance party in the hotel room, shopped til we dropped and ate some amazing food. Pure, amazing heaven.
I am licherally shakin in my boots with excitement for this weekend, it's the first weekend in a couple months that we don't really have anything planned. Except for some fun errands like buying a french press, stamps, getting a library card and sending some packages to friends. Easy stuff. I also plan on reading (a ton) and watching endless episodes of Felicity on netflix (is it bad that I have cried during every episode so far??).
On a luscious side note, the other night I got lost in a stack of books at my favorite used book store. On a bottom shelf I found a small black book, without a cover, without a title on the front, just the following words in red on the side - 9 1/2 weeks. Um, like the movie, which is one of my favorite movies? Turns out the movie was originally a memoir, no idear why I didn't know that. I am almost done with it, it's under 100 pages. And it's amazing. Pretty steamy, but not in a cheesy way.
It has been in the low 90's here lately. It feels so good. With the breeze, it almost feels like the end of summer. We'll see.
