I have been inspired yet again by my sweet, sweet friend Sirena. This time, with beginning (once again) my obsession with champagne. We had a last minute run to the store this afternoon and picked up a couple of bottles. I baked and baked the sweetest treats while drinking champagne. It was pretty perfect.
Amidst all of the serious decisions we have been making lately, I couldn't stop thinking about rum balls. So I finally got all of the ingredients today and made them. So happy I did. They are glorious.
Next up: chocolate cookies topped with sea salt, almond butter tart.
It is so sad, but since December is the craziest, busiest month of the year at work, I don't really get excited or magical spirit filled until the last moment. Today was full of magic. And tomorrow. And the next. And the next.
I received this book in the mail yesterday. I have been wanting this book for so long. I love that I now have it forever - to refer to, to get inspired by, to love.
Lately, things have been coming together and reminding me about the power of perfect timing. Right now, this is coming in the form of a book, a decision that lets us breathe enormous sighs of relief, a day to cook for hours, glances at each other that remind us that this is real.
And because the champagne is talking, I now give you a few guilty pleasures.
And if you are reading this, I wish you all the happiness in the world, always.
