Black & white

It's funny what you unearth while unpacking, from place to place. When we unpacked in October, I didn't come across this photo of my grandparents, but when we unpacked again this weekend, there it was. I love this photo for a million reasons - the black and white, my grandma's pretty smile (she's on the right), that they were dressed up as hippies most likely when there were real hippies. I'm already thinking of the perfect spot to hang it. I am thinking of hanging a bunch of smaller drawings/paintings/photos on my office wall.

I also came across these lovely stickers to place in books, saved from my other grandma. I could stare at these all day.

We also have a huge stack of old National Geographic magazines, about once a day I can be found moving them from one place to another.

Last night we watched Beginners. It was so beautiful, sweet, sad, the perfect movie. I can't wait to watch it again.

I have always loved tousled side braids. Every time I try one, doesn't really work, I guess I will keep practicing.

I've been doing side braids. It never looks right, but I do it anyway. I love the photo of your grandma. You'll have to post a photo of the finished wall.
