a wednesday

One of the things that we never get around to when moving into a new place is hanging all of our pictures. This weekend, I hung everything up and I gotta say, makes the place feel that much better.







Sometimes I get these wild decorating notions, and love when I find exactly what I was thinking of, imagining. I really wanted a little lamp for the kitchen, to make it more cozy. I spend so much time in there and am a crazy person when it comes to lighting, so I had this idea that a mini lamp would do the trick. My mom picked up this little gem for me, and it's just so perfect.



It makes the kitchen feel so sweet and inviting. This is another nutty thing, but I am loving the ritual of turning all of our lights off at night, straightening things up. I guess you could say it makes me feel like a grown-up. Ay yi yi.

Lately I have been questioning all of my grammar. Is it into or in to? Constant stuff like that.

I heard back about two poems I submitted to a journal. They weren't selected. But they liked my style! So I am holding on to that (onto?? jk).

It is 80 degrees here today. We are going to drink champagne on the patio, watch the sunset (sun set?? jk again), then make a homemade pizza. I have been looking forward to it all day.
