City of high miles

I have never really fallen in love with Denver. I have lived outside of Denver (about 30 miles) for over four years now and I can honestly say that when we move away, I will not miss Denver, not even for a second. Sure, I have some good memories about the city. Like the time I went to a fancy party wearing my 'Bonjour Paris' t-shirt with a beaded skirt. Or the time I found a perfect mango martini on Broadway. Or the French restaurant that I randomly found myself at on a Sunday night. Or the birthday brunch with friends that involved a free drink called the scorpion that was bigger than my head. Ok, so there have been some defining moments. But I don't really feel a connection. I've decided I want that to change. So I have concocted a little plan for the time that we still have in this pretty state called Colorado (it's our goal to be outta here by the fall of 2010). Since I've become quite obsessed with eating amazing food and also reading about glorious food, I want to research restaurants in Denver, go there, eat, take some pics, then come home and write about it. I was thinking like once a month...that might not happen in reality as I am a huge procrastinator. But we'll definitely do it a bunch before we hightail it outta here.
