Creepin and streetin

It's time. For a little thing I'd like to call: creepy secret time. What?!! Ok, so it all started with my mom. Our favorite thing to do together when I lived at home was take walks just as it was starting to get dark out. At dusk I guess. We loved, loved to walk by beautiful houses and hope that lights were on so that we could see how people decorated their houses. It sounds creepy but I promise we just liked guessing about their lives. Made up stories based on the little scenes that we saw. We lived in four different houses in the same city growing up. This allowed for different neighborhoods to walk around in. So lovely and fun.
Today we went to Savers. There are two things that I always look for while I am there: typewriters and books. I found a great light blue typewriter today. It was pretty big and definitely didn't work. I didn't get buy it because I want one that I can type letters on. The book section didn't have much this time, but I did buy The Afterlife by Donald Antrim. Most of the books I pick up from Savers are memoirs and no matter what I have bought before, I have loved them, so I'm excited to start this memoir. I also found a beautiful ceramic pie dish that had little colorful butterflies. I really really liked it but wondered if I'd use it. So I set it down. And now I wish I had gotten it. It better not start haunting me.

My favorite exchange this weekend:
Steven: Do you know who David Johanson became after being in the New York Dolls?
Sara: Ru Paul?
Steven: Um no, Buster Pointdextor, you know that song, Hot Hot Hot (feelin hot hot hot).
