Kitties

Tomorrow I am going to the farmer’s market downtown for the first time this season. I have been dying to go for weeks. This morning I looked up info about the market and clicked on a couple links and became completely be-dazzled by the Black Cat Farm. The Black Cat is a restaurant in Boulder that whenever I walk by, I always stop for a sec to peer inside. It just looks so nice. I learned that many of the restaurant’s ingredients come from the farm. Then! I noticed that they have Sunday dirt dinners. There is one ingredient used from the farm in every dish. Um, yes!! So I love, love, love tomatoes. The tomato dinner is Aug. 30th but we will be in L.A. So sad! They also have a stand at the farmer’s market so I can’t wait for that tomorrow.

Last weekend I went to lunch with Payal and we had the most amazing dish-gnocchi with a pesto cream sauce. Holy hell, it was so amazing that I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I really want to try to re-create it soon; I should probably get some basil tomorrow.

I haven’t really written poetry since the beginning of this year. I think because I had one poem published, and then found out about another being published that I kinda lost my nerve. But Tuesday I wrote a couple lines, then a couple more on Wednesday. And then I got really wild and went ahead and submitted it to a literary magazine. I was feel a bit delirious right before submitting. I also have the beginnings of another poem. I can’t wait to work on it more.
