Lately I have become even more obsessed with vintage. I think it’s because we just moved in to a house that was built in the 40’s and is so retro and cute that I get overwhelmed at times. I have lovingly hung up my aprons in the kitchen and placed old dishes under display lighting so that they sparkle and wink at you when you walk in. I have been wearing my dresses from the 50’s with more gusto and buying fresh flowers for the house because that was done back then, right?!
Last week Steven’s granny came over to check out our new place. She brought over a little gem. She has been uncluttering her house so that has meant wonders for me. I have received little juice glasses as well as three huge bags full of old cookbooks. The newest little jewel is a spring foam pan that came in a very retro orange and white box. My heart fluttered at the thought of owning a vintage baking piece. Then I turned the box over and noticed that the packaging was from 1981, ha!
Once we get completely unpacked and organized I can’t wait to start buying more vintage pieces for the place. And a hundred more dresses because I can never, ever have enough.
