So excited

We leave for California on Monday. I. can't. wait. There is so much to do before we leave. Lots of shopping. Lots of organzing. Lots of work to finish up. But on Monday morning, all of that will be done and we will drive up a mountain, stay for the night then drive Tuesday through Utah, which is seriously beautiful. Three days in Vegas, the last night there with good friends. And then! The desert. Four days.

Last night we had the best time ever with our neighbors. We walked down to Main Street and had dinner, then to an opera house for drinks. Walked home very late and it was so windy. I loved every second of it.

When we come home from our trip, we have so many things we want to do. First on the list, plant in our garden. Take more walks in the evening. Buy a grill. Go to movies in the park down the street. Have more parties. Lay under the weeping willow in our backyard with cocktails and books. I can't even express how happy I am winter is over. This felt like the longest one yet.
